How does Mattering pricing fit together?

Three pieces. Apps are priced per seat — you pick which apps your team actually uses (Productivity today; more launching soon) and pay only for those seats. Workflow Automations and AI Credits are org-level credit plans — one shared pool that any user in any app can draw from. Both are optional. Both stack with extra credit packs.

Is Productivity really free forever?

Yes. The free tier includes core features for up to 5 members with no time limits and no credit card required. Free orgs get 1 space, 3 projects, 3 active goals, 5 recordings, and 500 MB of storage — enough to run a real workflow before deciding if Pro is right for you. Matter AI and Automations aren’t bundled into Free; both are available as paid add-on packs, or come included with Pro (300 AI credits per seat, plus any add-on packs you stack on top).

What do I unlock by upgrading to Productivity Pro?

Pro removes every Free limit (members, spaces, projects, goals, recordings, storage) and adds premium surfaces: multi-project dashboards, teams, recurring tasks, unlimited custom fields and statuses, 90‑day project history, audit log + export, webhooks, public API, and MCP server access. Do I need to buy Workflow Automations or AI Credits?

No. Both are optional. Many teams start without either and add them when they hit the per-seat AI allowance or want to automate something repetitive. The plans below are designed so most teams can pick Starter and stack credit packs as needed, instead of overpaying upfront.

What’s the difference between per-seat AI credits and an AI Credits plan?

Per-seat credits (300 / seat / month) come automatically with every paid app seat and reset monthly. They’re scoped to that user. The AI Credits plan adds a shared org pool on top — any user in any app can draw from it once their personal credits run out. Useful when one or two heavy AI users would otherwise blow through their personal allowance.

Will there be more apps?

Yes. Sales, Contracts, and Comms are on the way. Each app prices independently per seat, so you’ll only pay for the people who use them. Pro buyers of any app share the same per-seat AI credit allowance and the same org-level Workflow Automations plan.
