How does Mattering pricing fit together?
Three kinds of apps. Premier apps (Productivity, Contracts) are $12 per seat: you pay only for the people who use each app. Engines (Automations, Matter AI) are free to open and run on credits: every paid seat includes a monthly allowance, and org-level plans add shared headroom. Bonus apps (Comms, QR) are included free the moment your org has any paid plan.

Is Productivity really free forever?
Yes. The free tier includes core features for up to 5 members with no time limits and no credit card required. Free orgs get 1 space, 3 projects, 3 active goals, 5 recordings, and 500 MB of storage: enough to run a real workflow before deciding if Pro is right for you. Matter AI and Automations are not bundled into Free; both are available as paid add-ons, or come included with any Pro seat.

Does Contracts have a free tier?
No. Contracts is $12 per seat from the first seat. You only need seats for the people who send and manage agreements; teammates who just need visibility into the surrounding work don't need a Contracts seat. Signers of a document you send never need a seat or an account.

Do I need to buy an Automations or AI Credits plan?
No. Both are optional. Every paid seat already includes 30,000 AI credits and 1,000 automation runs per month. Many teams start with just seats and add an org plan when they hit those allowances. Extra capacity also comes as one-off packs: $7 per 1,000 automation runs, $9 per 100,000 AI credits.

What's the difference between per-seat AI credits and an AI Credits plan?
Per-seat credits (30,000 per seat per month) come automatically with every paid app seat and reset monthly. They're scoped to that user. An AI Credits plan adds a shared org pool on top: any user in any app can draw from it once their personal credits run out. Useful when one or two heavy AI users would otherwise blow through their personal allowance.

What do Comms and QR cost?
Nothing. Comms and QR are Bonus apps: they unlock free for your whole team the moment your org has any paid plan on the platform, whether that's a Pro seat, an Automations plan, or an AI Credits plan. They are never a line item on your invoice.

Will there be more apps?
Yes. Sales is coming soon as a Premier app, and Forms is coming soon as a Bonus app. Premier apps price per seat, so you'll only pay for the people who use them. Every paid seat, in any app, shares the same per-seat credit allowances and the same org-level engine plans.
