The Local Falcon MCP for local SEO agents that run their own grid scans

Connect Local Falcon once and geo-grid rank scans, scan reports, competitor and trend analysis, campaigns, and Falcon Guard become building blocks for visual automations and AI agent workflows. 40 nodes across the Local Falcon API.

What the Local Falcon MCP connector does

The Local Falcon connector for Mattering Automations covers the rank-tracking API in depth: run a geo-grid scan around a business location, read back scan, competitor, trend, keyword, and location reports, manage scheduled scans and recurring campaigns, protect listings with Falcon Guard, pull reviews analysis, and search or save business locations. There is also an On-Demand set for single-point rankings and one-off full grid scans.

Each capability is a node on the Automations canvas, and every node speaks MCP, the open protocol for connecting AI assistants to tools. Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-capable assistant can use them, and they also power Matter, the platform's AI assistant. Ask for a grid-scan workflow in plain language and it gets built on the canvas in front of you.

A generic Local Falcon request node can call any documented API path, so endpoints beyond the 40 typed nodes stay reachable without waiting on a connector update. Report reads are free; scans and On-Demand calls bill against your Local Falcon credit balance, and grid size drives the cost, so the credit-spending nodes carry that warning in their descriptions.

One connection, three surfaces

  • Visual automations. Drag Local Falcon nodes onto the canvas and wire them to triggers, conditions, and other apps.
  • AI agents, yours or ours. These nodes speak MCP, the open protocol, so Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-capable assistant can use them, and Matter, the agent built into the platform, uses them natively.
  • The whole platform. Combine with native tasks, projects, and other connectors, no middleware in between.

Connecting Local Falcon takes one credential

Local Falcon issues an account API key in your Local Falcon account under Settings, then API. API access requires a Local Falcon plan that includes it.

1

In your Local Falcon account, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.

2

In Mattering Automations, open Connectors, choose Local Falcon, and create a credential with that API key.

3

The connector sends the key as an Authorization Bearer header, so it stays out of request bodies and logs.

4

All 40 Local Falcon nodes appear in the canvas palette, ready to use.

Common uses for the Local Falcon MCP

Scheduled grid rank tracking

Run a geo-grid scan for your target keyword and location on a schedule, then read the finished scan report and write the average map rank and per-point standings into a Mattering database, with an alert when the grid slips.

Competitor visibility an agent can pull

List and read competitor reports to see who ranks across the grid where you do not, and let an agent chain the scan and the report read without a human exporting anything.

Trend reporting over time

Pull trend reports for a location and keyword to track how grid coverage moves week over week, and turn the result into a client-ready digest instead of a dashboard someone forgets to open.

Reviews analysis as a workflow step

Read Local Falcon reviews analysis reports for a location and route the summarized sentiment and themes into a task or a message when a new analysis lands.

Falcon Guard change monitoring

Protect a Google Business Profile with Falcon Guard, then list and read guard reports on a schedule so unexpected listing changes surface as an alert rather than a surprise.

Campaign management from a workflow

Create, edit, run, pause, resume, or reactivate recurring scan campaigns from an automation, so a new client location can be set up on a cadence without opening the Local Falcon UI.

Example: A weekly grid-rank report, fully automated

Built on the Automations canvas in a few minutes, or described in plain language to Matter and built for you.

1

Trigger: a weekly schedule fires on Monday morning.

2

Local Falcon: Run a Scan starts a geo-grid scan for the tracked keyword, location, and grid size.

3

Local Falcon: Get Scan Report reads the finished grid, including per-point rankings and, when enabled, Falcon AI commentary.

4

Mattering Productivity: a task is created summarizing the average map rank and any points that dropped, with the raw report attached for the local SEO team.

Local Falcon MCP questions, answered

Can an AI agent run a local grid scan through this MCP?

Yes. Matter and any MCP-connected assistant, including Claude and ChatGPT, can run scans, read scan, competitor, trend, keyword, and location reports, manage campaigns and Falcon Guard, and pull reviews analysis through the same 40 nodes available on the automation canvas, and chain them into a multi-step workflow.

Does this work with Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI assistants?

Yes. Mattering exposes these nodes over MCP, an open protocol for connecting AI assistants to tools, so any MCP-capable assistant, including Claude and ChatGPT, can connect to your workspace and work with Local Falcon through them. Matter, the assistant built into the platform, uses the same nodes natively.

Which parts of Local Falcon does the connector cover?

40 nodes covering scan reports, competitor reports, trend reports, keyword reports, location reports, connected locations and location groups, scheduled scans, campaigns (create, edit, run, pause, resume, reactivate), Falcon Guard protection and reports, reviews analysis, account info, knowledge base search, business location search and save, grid point calculation, and an On-Demand set for single-point rankings, point search, and full grid scans. A generic request node can call any other documented path your account can access.

Does running scans cost money?

Standard report reads are free. Scans, campaign runs, and the On-Demand endpoints bill against your Local Falcon account credit balance, and grid size drives the cost of a scan. The credit-spending nodes carry that warning in their descriptions, and the account info node returns your remaining credit balance so a workflow can check it before scanning.

What credential does it use?

Your Local Falcon account API key, sent as an Authorization Bearer header and stored encrypted in Google Secret Manager. You generate it in your Local Falcon account under Settings, then API, on a plan that includes API access.

Can it delete campaigns or saved locations through the API?

No. Local Falcon's API has no delete for campaigns or saved locations, so those nodes are not shipped. You can pause a campaign from a workflow, and you remove saved locations or campaigns in the Local Falcon UI. Falcon Guard protection can be paused, resumed, or removed through the API.

What platforms can it scan?

Scans run against Google local results by default, and the scan and location nodes accept a platform field, so where Local Falcon supports another platform such as Apple, the node passes it through. Apple locations require the location name and center coordinates when you save them.

How is this different from Zapier's Local Falcon integration?

Depth and destination. Mattering ships typed nodes across the whole Local Falcon API, from grid scans to campaigns, Falcon Guard, and reviews analysis, plus a generic request node for anything else, and the results land in a platform with native tasks, databases, and AI agents, so a grid scan becomes tracked work instead of a webhook payload.
